    Bears Resign Kelvin Hayden

    Roto

Bears re-signed CB Kelvin Hayden to a one-year contract.

Hayden, 31 in July, missed the entire 2013 season with a torn left hamstring and has battled various injuries throughout his career. He appeared in all 16 games in 2012 and is a key special teams player. Hayden will compete for nickel corner duties in 2014. He's likely signing for the veteran's minimum.

Considering all the injuries we had last year, I like it. I don't like that they keep trying to use him at Nickel though. He's better suited to the outside IMO.

If he's a back up at an outside CB then fine. He sucks *** at nickel though. Frey blew last year as well. Was kind of hoping theyd get an upgrade there.

No, he really wasn't. He was the weakest link in our pass coverage in 2012 and just isn't a good fit inside.

Good resign. I am hoping we still resign Bowman and Tillman on the cheap. Draft a guy who can play NB and eventually replace Tillman. Maybe Dessir?

Not sure why you think that. If Hayden's starting for this team then we're in some serious trouble.
