    Free Shabazzzz

Been extremely busy lately so haven't been able to catch many games but tried to catch some highlights and Shabazz looked like the guy we drafted him to be tonight.

Can he keep this up and help us make a playoff push or was this merely an anomaly?

Should have been given opportunities all season. We have a stubborn coach.

Where do I sign this petition. I don't think he is a great player by any stretch of the imagination, but he is a better option that say DC or Mbah Amute if you need some bench scoring.

Do you think Adelman not giving Shabazz playing time early on helped his game though? We can all sit here and act like we wish Bazz was playing this well all year but Ricks decision could have very well helped his development. We don't know.

He had one decent game. My comment was a joke more or less, but by no means did he deserve any minutes in the beginning of this season. Now that we are basically out of the playoff picture - probably for good - play him by all means.

New thought and not overreacting from last night: Bazz should start at SF.
Now hear me out... He'd still only get 15-20 min a night. He's better when not asked to do much: scrap, post up (not designed) and I'd make Martin 6th man. Sub him in at the 6 min mark. This would allow him to run the O for 1/2 the second Q. Brewer still guards best defender, Chase still plays 24 min a night with whomever. It would eliminate Luc's minutes unless we want him playing small ball with Pek for certain stretches. Test it out Rick!

Never will though... far too stubborn

Shabazz was obviously not ready to play NBA minutes to start the season. But Adelman recently commented that he has been very good in practice, so he was rewarded. Adelman's offense is difficult to learn. Being a rookie that came in slightly out of shape makes it even more difficult, especially when you were never a cutting type player growing up. Bazz has obviously improved his game over the year, and is getting Shved's minutes now, who he (I assume) has ultimately started beating up on in practice.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

We have won 4/5, and have a nice schedule. We should still be shooting for the playoffs. But yes, the moment we are eliminated (I figure with 8 games left), Shabazz and Dieng should be playing half the damn game, no questions asked.

oh, and when Adelman's favorite player ever returns from injury, look for Bazz's minutes to decrease big time.

Why can't Bazz still get the minutes? Budinger just doesn't look the same, Shved is just not good, he's better than Moute...

So even when Martin comes back why can't he still be in the rotation?

He loves Budinger too (Houston). He will hopefully suck up Shved's minutes. We shall see..
