2016: The End of an Era

Tony Parker stated recently that he wants to retire after the 2016 Olympics. By 2016 all of these players would be either retired or very very close to retiring

    Nash
    Duncan
    Allen
    Parker
    Manu
    KG
    Pierce
    Kobe
    Fisher
    Dirk
    Carter
    Billups

All of these players have been part of some really great teams over the past 15 years, so which players will you miss the most?

    LAKERS
    PACKERS
    DODGERS
    FC BARCELONA
    USC TROJANS

Dirk, but I think he plays for at least 3 more years after this season, so he'd be retiring during the summer of 2017

none really. I mean, I will miss watching them play, but I am old enough that I have seen a lot of great players retire. The young crop of players is as exciting as ever, the game is in good hands.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

Duncan as a Spurs fan not seeing him play anymore along Parker & Manu would be odd

    Also KG, Nash, Kobe.

It's been like this throughout the history of the game. New players come and take over and everyone gets over with it rather quickly. I will miss watching Nash, KG, Duncan, and Dirk though.

Personally, I'll miss Tim Duncan and Ray Allen the most.

Screw you heartless fans...I will be sad as hell. The era was terrific. You sort of feel like you have a connection with them when you grow up with them..I had hard time watching Shaq, tmac, ai go.

I'll miss all of their primes.

I'll miss Kobe, Dirk, Carter, Duncan, KG the most.

Kobe and Carter were 2 of the most exciting players I've ever seen step on the court. So skilled and explosive.

Dirk and Duncan are just 2 of the best and Dirk is so unique.

Granted I only got to start watching and understanding the game early 90s..I wouldn't trade my era growing up for anything.

New era sucks for me. Just lacks that elite skill or the unknown. Part of greatness is venturing into the unknown.

Eh I would have to disagree. The players nowadays seem less motivated by mastering their craft and more motivated by publicity and social media. Also todays players are much more soft than generations past. Guess I love that old school ball and I don't think the nba will be the same without guys like kg and kobe on the floor.

All of them. But specifically Dirk, Duncan, Nash and Kobe.
