Your picks outside the top 12 to make a Final Four run

Please list at least a minimal explanation as to why, and they don't have to strictly be outside the current top 12, but teams that are likely to be a 4 seed or lower that you have some belief in.

    Mine are:

MSU - Every four year senior that's played those four years for Izzo has made it to at least one Final Four. Michigan State hasn't been there in any of the past three seasons.

UNC - Picking up steam at the right time, obviously have the coaching as well.

SMU - Larry Brown pulls one more trick out of his magic hat. Why the hell not?

Wisconsin - had a rough stretch but I think they're right up there with MSU as the top team in the Big 10. Wins against Florida, Michigan, MSU, St Louis, and Iowa home and away, should be ranked much much higher right now imo.

MSU - Izzo. that is all.

Iowa State - long shot, but being led by a senior guard is always a big plus in the tourney, and Deandre Kane has been great this year. They're the only team to score at least 70 in every game this season so they can hang with any one. They just don't have much size at all, nobody who plays any real minutes is over 6'7", so a team with a true rim protector can cause them some issues

    UNC doesn't have the shooting.

I vote for Kentucky as much as I hate to say it. They have talent, and it can click on any night.

Obviously Michigan State with Izzo is always scary too.

Kentucky - one of the most talented teams, will it click at the right time?

Ohio State - a talented underachieving team

As UofAZ420 said, Wisconsin had a rough stretch there for a few weeks but I'm really high on them. I actually think they're more dangerous come tournament time than MSU. I'm sure I'm one of the very few who think that but I'm very high on this Wisconsin team. Also, as much as it pains me to say it as an OSU student, I think Michigan could surprise some teams and make another deep run. They're not as talented as last year but they're still a dangerous team.

Homer pick, Tarheels. We may not have a consistent dominant person every night but every game someone steps up and makes plays. Paige is playing out of his mind right now as well.
