Lakers save 2 mil on this deal. I still think they will trade us Pau when all's said and done. They aren't going to make these tiny trades just to save a few mil (or maybe they are).

I agree King. Don't see them making such a small trade for nothing. They will trade Hill and then trade us Gasol to make it under the cap.

I hope you're wrong but either way it seemed as if there really wasn't much interest from our part to begin with. I think we have a better chance at landing Deng.

One day left in the deadline. I heard a few days ago suns were after Brandon Bass, he is signed through next year at 6.95 million dollars. Think theres a chance you'll give up the worst of your first rounders for him?

    Possible but not likely.

From the Phoenix front, I'm told Suns not close to anything right now. Standing pat is more likely possibility, but they're still exploring.

Suns see value in not disrupting team midseason (see 4 trades last summer that netted two '14 1st-rounders), BUT...could change tomorrow.
Good...hopefully that means no panic moves.

    How about

Tucker and our '14 1st to GSW

Harrison Barnes, Ind '14 1st and LA '15 1st to Utah

    Hayward to Suns.

Is that a bit too much? We still keep the Was and Min pick.

Way too much for just Hayward. You'd really give up 3 first and Tucker for Hayward. Not to mention the Lakers 1st when they should be AWFUL next year, as Kobe willl be a year older as will Nash and those are really the only two on their team.

Warriors wouldn't do it. They value Barnes very highly. It will take more than just Tucker and a late 1st to get them to deal Barnes.

Amazing how the value falls as we approach the deadline.

I bet he'll feel so welcomed if he reads that (if he's traded here)
