If he performs, he'll stick around. I think we are just biding time until buyouts start happening though.

Interesting signing. I remember watching him in college and he seemed to make a difference on the court, then seemed to fall of the map once he left. Hopefully he can stick around.

I don't know him but if he is a good blocker and a good defender, he can improve in this team if he rely on Thibodeau's instructions. It will be interesting to see if he overpass Murphy as 5th big man in the team, either will remain in the team next year as at the bottom, as 14th or 15th.

The bad new is that he played for Miami Heat and didn't find a room in this team, which is the team in the whole NBA that has more specialist players in the roster. Andersen, Battier, Lewis, Allen are a few examples. If he is a specialist and didn't remain in the Heat team I afraid it is because he cannot contribute much to the NBA.

However, he has played in the European basketball and this is a good news because you learn more in European Leagues than D-League, where he has played for one year. I don't see him playing more than 5-8 minutes a game if the three big men in Bulls remain healthy, but it will be nice if he get over Mohammed and Murphy. It would mean he has improved the roster at least.

It would be better to add some young talented players to the team, but GM didn't be able to take any player in exchange of Deng, so we have to settle with this kind of players. They only think in economics terms this year. I hope next year we'll have a deeper team, because there are only 7-8 players in this team who play more than 10 minutes per game currently.

For this reason, Varnado may becomes the 8th player in the rotation this year, if he provides a good defense. This is the same case than Snell. Tom Thibodeau doesn't rely on rookies, but if they defense properly, he ofter gives them an opportunity because they don't spoil the defensive system at least.

I think we're waiting on buyouts or prob fill the roster with a trade but if if none of those I hope he sticks . I would like Thibs to coach him up and get some mins over Naz . http://youtu.be/zNoAwyoRMNE I wonder if he added some weight on his body , could save us a 1st rounder on a big if he works out .

Could he be more serviceable than Nazr? How will his defense translate to the NBA? I recall success with Asik even when Asik had no offense to speak of. Can he be that type of player on a slightly smaller scale?

Well setting an NCAA record for blocks is pretty damn impressive . He's your typical project shot blocking center . He won't make the team likely but if he does it will be nice to see what Thibs gets out of him .
