Do the A's have the best bullpen?

Their bullpen is scary good, on paper.
    Jim Johnson
    Ryan Cook
    Luke Gregerson
    Sean Doolittle
    Eric O'Flaghtery
and that Dan Otero guy is pretty good too

So does Oakland have the best bullpen? I know that Atlanta's bullpen might also be considered the best though, but the A's have to at least be in the top 3

    Steamer says

    http://www.fangraphs.com/depthcharts.aspx?position=RP

    Royals, Dodgers, and Braves

Steamer says 9th best ERA, 13th best FIP

But, Royals, Dodgers, Braves are probably the three best.

With their starting rotation, methinks the Royals' 'pen will get a LOT of work this season.

I loved the O'Flaherty signing for them. That bullpen sounds pretty badass.

Yea... if the Braves had resigned him I think it would be no doubt the Braves. They will learn to love him, could always count on him getting out of a jam. We have a few young guys who should be able to fill his spot somewhat and Venters will be back at some point.

Do the A's have the best bullpen?

So bored of posts that begin with, "Steamer says..."

All projections are based on trends, but there are too many variables that can derail the most likely outcome. Historically, bullpen projections might be the most unpredictable as well. If u doubt, post contradictory evidence.

Am I missing something with Streamer here. He has most of them at half of their 3 year average in War. Heck he has Doolittle at half of his worst year. What am I missing? I love the A's BP, but do not think it's the best, when this thread was started doing 0 research i immediately said probably top 3 maybe top 5, but no way do I believe they are basically middle of the pack.

For steamer, just look at ERA and FIP. WAR is kind of worthless because of the innings they give everyone.

    Oliver seems to apparently agree

As I get bored of intellectually (vapid) lazy posts with no evidence whatsoever to support them calling for other people to refute the unsupported claim.

    Like this one.
