Why Raiders Need to Take Sammy Watkins i

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/why-oak...0737--nfl.html

This was a interesting article and does make some valid point why we should take Watkins in the Draft. What you all think Watkins a good choice as our #1 pick. I for one would not me mad about it. I think there will be many good choices we can make in the 1st round. With so many areas to focus on and I am more of a build the line first kind of guy myself but this guy does look pretty good. Thoughts?

And you are what your record says you are.
Sure liked the two years before DA and RM 1 game away from playoffs.
And some say we are better off today.

Except most saw Austin as a Slot guy out of the gate going into the draft. Watkins has been stated by some experts as the top WR in this draft since Jones and Green.

He's my favorite player in the draft and the only one I actually really want to see RM pick at #5.

I have been on the Sammy Watkins Hype Train for a long time now. He is in my top 5 players in the draft and I would love it if the Raiders drafted him.

I see watkins as a cant miss top wr....all the qbs could be great..so-so or another jrock. I say take watkins just so we dont take a qb with our 1st round pick. Only pick I would make in round 1 ahead of watkins would be clowney. Also if we take watkins I wouldnt mind taking qb boyd in round 2, or especially round 3.

If Watkins proved to be an immediate starter and considerably effective from the start, which I agree to be very conceivable, do you guys feel he would be used in the return game? Would you be hesitant to do so?

I wouldnt..if we do take him he will have enough on his plate establishing himself as a number 1 reciever

Those return spots do need to be filled though...maybe the rb sheets we took could help there
