    Fanspeak MOCK DRAFT simulator Thread

Since this is a NFL DRAFT forum its only right the best Mock Draft simulator has its own thread.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>> http://fanspeak.com/ontheclock/ <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

if you haven't tried it, do so! i strongly recommend this!

SO I'm curious who played this and who they drafted? feel free to criticize or share your thoughts.

    Mine:

    HOUSTON TEXANS

1 - DE JADEVEON CLOWNEY- SOUTH CAROLINA ( JJ watt and Clowney )
33 - QB JOHNNY MANZIEL- TEXAS A&M ( WOw this is a steal,Browns took watkins, viks took bortles)
65 - G GABE JACKSON- MISSISSIPPI STATE ( another steal, fills a need)
97 - DT DAQUAN JONES- PENN STATE ( another Steal fills another need on a roll)
129 - RB BISHOP SANKEY- WASHINGTON ( Ben Tate in FA, Foster injury prone, I'll take #4 rated back)
161 - CB RASHAAD REYNOLDS - OREGON STATE ( Texans aint solid at secondary, this guy helps)
193 -WR CODY HOFFMAN- BYU ( one of my sleepers, dudes 6-4 plays like Michael Floyd, steal)

    Sleeper: Cody Hoffman, WR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU9N0oq09BI

    GREENBAY PACKERS

21 - TE ERIC EBRON- UNC ( Arod needs his redzone T, finley gone, ebron+arod=alot TD's)
53 - DT DOMINIQUE EASLEY- FLORIDA ( Raji is gone in FA, D-Line Needs help just has Pickett-Neal )
85 - DT DAQUAN JONES- PENN STATE ( D-line need work, Pickett is getting Old, Jones fits right in)
117 - C BRYAN STORK- FLORIDA STATE ( The BEARD! this guy is tough Center, improvement over they have)
    149 - DE TAYLOR HART- OREGON ( I like this kid,Hart recorded 75 tackles, 4 sacks, This helps D-line)
181 - QB TAJH BOYD - CLEMSON ( I felt he fell, with Arod without a backup, I mean they brought back flynn)
213 - ILB ANDREW JACKSON- WESTERN KENTUCKY ( just hawk at ILB, I felt they needed to have him)

    JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

3 - DE JADEVEON CLOWNEY- SOUTH CAROLINA ( Huge need, best player on the board, no solid qbs this year)
39 - DT RA’SHEDE HAGEMAN- MINNESOTA ( Steal, jag have no DT, this is gold mine for their d-line)
70 - QB JIMMY GAROPPOLO- EASTERN ILLINOIS ( greater value than reaching for a QB early, great QB)
101 - CB PIERRE DESIR- LINDENWOOD (Very underrated, sherman like CB did great in senior bowl.good pick)
110 - RB ANDRE WILLIAMS- BOSTON COLLEGE ( MJD is out, This guy is a beast, Andre led the nation)
132 - DT DEANDRE COLEMAN- CALIFORNIA ( again theres no DT in Jacksonville, steal too, great gem)
138 - DE TAYLOR HART- OREGON ( you got Hageman and Clowney, now Hart.. this D-line is now scary)
147 - QB A.J. MCCARRON- ALABAMA ( this guy is still here, wtf, I'll put insurance on my qb pick here)
    163 - G BRANDON LINDER- MIAMI ( solid Guard, named a Second-Team All-ACC selection, helps O-line)
199 - RB DRI ARCHER- KENT STATE ( small but electric player, in 7th, can turn down a weapon like this)

Sleeper: Dri Archer, Running back : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dpvSqIAge4

My biggest complaint is you can't trade around in the draft.

    Anyways:
    1: Marquise Lee WR
    2: Jordan Matthews WR
    4: Dion Bailey S
    5: Bashaud Breeland CB
    6: Calvin Barnett DT/DE
    7: Tyler Gaffeny RB

what team is this lol.... pretty hard to simulate trading picks, best luck is if you could get a real draft class in madden which is impossible.

I did it once and Sammy Watkins fell to me at 15. I decided to stop there.

Its not perfect but we have seen players thought of as top picks drop. Best draft simulator there is out that Ive found. Floyd last draft was thought of as the almost sure Raiders #3 pick all the way to during the draft. Fell to the Vikings at #22.

We see it more with linemen like your example of Floyd and the year before when DeCastro fell to my Steelers. Not so much with skill positions like receiver.

But anyway, I wasn't taking it literally at all. I was mostly kidding, it kinda goes without saying that a player could drop or that a simulator can change it up.

I tried it, Cleveland picked Carr at #4 and Manziel was still on the board after the first round. the good news was Clowney fell to the Raiders at #5

5 QB BLAKE BORTLES CENTRAL FLORIDA
(Raiders need a QB and may look for one early. In my opinion Bortles is the best in the class)
36 TE JACE AMARO TEXAS TECH
(A TE isnt the Raiders next biggest need but he was the BPA and giving a rookie QB a go to target is great for him going)
    67 DE CHRIS SMITH ARKANSAS
(Raiders need a DE and Smith was at the top of BPA and filled a need so made it easy to pick him)
    103 CB KEITH MCGILL UTAH
(McGill is a tall lengthy CB and one Im a huge fan of him. Wasnt top CB left on felt he was best player on board)
    165 RB STORM JOHNSON UCF
(The Raiders drafted Murray RB from UCF last year and grabbed Bortles in the first. Grabbing Storm here and the 6th round gives familiarity to a young QB. Was one of the best RB's on the boards in the game as well)
    196 DT BRUCE GASTON PURDUE
(Gaston always seems to be there in the 7th in this simulator. In my opinion his rank is a little low. That said we need could always use a DT and he was my favorite out of those still on the board.)
    212 WR CODY HOFFMAN BYU
(Like Gaston above I feel Hoffman is rated a little low in this simulator. Still with WR position so full each year we always see good WRs fall late. Raiders could always a WR and a new WR to work with a new QB is never a bad thing)
