Peyton Manning Future CEO of the browns?

    Tom James ‏@TribStarTJames 9m
Cleveland Plain-Dealer writer Mary Kay Cabot, who is a veteran on the Browns beat, thinks the team is saving the CEO job for Peyton Manning.

Manning and Browns owner Jimmy Haslam are close friends due to Haslam's ties to the UT. Haslam sees Manning being John Elway.

It sounds like someone throwing something against the wall just to see if it sticks.

I'd be interested to see how Peyton would build a team.

Well, even if Peyton retires after next year the Browns will probably go through 3 GM's before they have to consider him.
Your perception of the obvious is OUTSTANDING!!!

I hope it happens, it'd be interesting for sure. I think he'd be a solid GM.

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, and Colin Kaepernick walk into a bar... To watch Russell Wilson win the Super Bowl.

Haslam will probably be in prison before Peyton retires, so I'll take this with a grain of salt.

I think he would love to be a coach over GM. I also think he would be better at it. He is a Xs and Os kinda guy. Not sure the FO would fill the void.

I personally think he'll retire and ride off into the sunset.

Besides what makes the Browns think he would have interest in him. I think the Colts and Saints would come before the Browns.

I believe with all the family money they have and the NFL experience they, the Manning group, which will include Archie, Peyton and Eli end up buying an NFL team.

They have money, but as majority owners they don't have enough. They're millionaires. Owners are Billionaires.

I could see them buying into businesses. But I just don't see Peyton going into another high stress time consuming career.

The Bills would probably be available around the right time, depending on how long Ralph Wilson lasts. I'm not sure Peyton would want to keep them in Buffalo though. I'd rather Jim Kelly buy them.
