I voted Bortles, but I'm really not sure what Houston's thinking really is. They definitely need a QB, that's certain. But their window is still now- with Foster and Johnson getting older and a lot of wear on them. I think Houston goes with Bortles just because they think he is the most pro ready. But I could totally see them taking Manziel, Bridgewater, or Clowney at #1.
This is the same situation that came up the year Calvin Johnson was drafted EVERYONE with any sense knew he was the best player in that draft. Thing is teams cant always take BPA when they are that high. I mean you need a QB, there is a good QB avaliable... Maybe the QB is not quite on the level of Calvin Johnson but he is pretty good and you dont need a WR, you need a QB so you take the QB.
So what am I talking about? Same thing will happen this year, Clowney should be number 1 but he wont be. A QB will be taken, a QB is what Houston needs most.
I picked Clowney. I think the Texans go with the best player in the draft and maintain the talent on that line. My second choice would be Johnny Manziel. I think Bridge will slowly drop during the Combine and pre draft.
