    Nelson Cruz or S.Drew ?

I like to see the Mets add Cruz over Drew. He is a legitimate 30 plus homerun hitter. Now drew would help but drew can never put up Cruz numbers and all we would need is for Tejada is to hit 260, and play solid defense Imagine this linup

    Granderson lf
    Murphy 2b
    Wright 3b
    Cruz Rf
    Davis 1b
    Young Cf
    d'Arnaud: C
    Tejada SS

    Nelson Cruz or S.Drew ?

I feel as if Cruz would command at least twice of what Drew is looking for. Cruz will also expect a longer deal thus being stuck with both Granderson and Cruz as they slow down.

Although Cruz can hit bombs, our outfield situation is fine. Lagares will probably be our everyday centerfielder and although I'm not his advocate by any stretch of the imagination, I would think that a Lagares/Drew would be a lot more valuable than a Cruz/Tejada.

really ? what makes you sure Lagares will start don't be surprise and I shiver at the thought of Duda in the outfield with Cy in center and Grandy in right

Lagares defense is far too valuable to throw Duda out there. Or EY jr for that matter.

Maybe you missed when Alderson said Duda needs to bring his OF glove to ST, or the time TC said that as of today EYJ is the leadoff hitter? Where would either of those guys possibly start, if not in LF?

I know PlayD can seem off the wall sometimes, but he is 100% on the money. Both Drew and Cruz are hanging out there. There is no guarantee Cruz will get more than a 1 year contract at this point...much like Drew.

If I had to choose, I agree with PD. Cruz makes the lineup deeper, and would allow the Mets to bump Granderson to the top (where he really belongs), and Tejada (or Tovar) batting 8th.

    Cruz = lifetime PED user.
Drew = Meh. But overall an improvement over the incumbent.

    Drew.

We need a proven major league SS. Having Tejada at SS is just too shaky playing a critical position.

Drew. Our outfield is solid but tejada for 162 games would be a disaster

And Drew won't be much, either. Drew sucks. :/ Oh well. He'll be ok...which is a HUGE upgrade from what he had, but being ok to below average isn't a good thing either.

Wow... I almost didn't notice the hula hoop. Anyway, I'd go with Drew.

I don't think we know this as fact. I am curious to see how his performance in ST contrasts with last year. Tejada can be adequate -- meaning over a 162 season he isn't going to hurt you any more than he helps.
