If Alexander Frolov was in the NHL today, would he score 40 goals a season?

    Pretty straight forward question.

I'm on my phone can't see if it says goals or assists.

    If it says goals, ridiculous.

Points, I doubt it. He didn't show me much when he was in NY.

33-36 point players his great days are behind him.

Yes. The league has changed. He's on the same level as Ovechkin when it comes to goal-scoring.

I watch a lot of KHL games. Like, a lot. Alexander Frolov has really developed and knows how to score. Put him in a scoring league, the right system, the right linemates, and I honestly think you're looking at an elite scorer.

Hmmm... I'll answer your question if you answer mine. How would Radulov compete if he was on a decent team in the NHL? Off-topic, but I am a bit of a Admiral Vladivostok fan since they are a newer team in the KHL.

I think Frolov is a lot like Moulson, but with more goal potential. Top 6 forward? Of course, but he can give you 35ish goals a year dunno if he would get to the 40 mark.

Am I missing something here? The guy has 9 goals in 47 games in the KHL and he is gonna score 40 in the NHL? Let's not pretend that the KHL is somehow anywhere on par with the NHL, its a league below it, more like the AHL only less physical, with a handful of superstars in it, no decent defensemen and worse goalies. Brandon Bocheski and Nigel Dawes are in the top 5 in scoring and Curtis Sandford is probably the best goalie there and thats all you need to know about the KHL. Frolov is where he belongs.

I'm gonna go with "no" he wouldn't score 40. Maybe 20 in the ideal situation.

I just looked up his stats and must be missing the same thing you are. Admittedly I have not seen him in the KHL, but if he could score 40 in the NHL he would be doing at least that in a significantly weaker league wouldn't he?
