In need of a "saftey" valve

Ok. Havent been on here in a while but wanted to get some peoples thoughts other than mine. Obviously we saw what happened in the super bowl and the seahawks defense is the best ive seen since the 99-00 ravens in recent years. Teams around the league will be searching for length and physicality in their secondary.

What are your feelings on what type of player secondary wise do we need be FA or Draft?

    I give you 4 names T.J. Ward/Mike Mitchell and Ed Reynolds/Antone Exum

    IT IS WHAT IT IS

Clemons is probably the realistic target.

My guess is they won't invest big money into the safety position (or any position) this offseason. Both Clemens and Mitchell would fit that cheaper alternative through free agency. Outside of a few other average names the safety position is weak after Ward and Byrd. If they don't go out and address it is free agency then drafting a safety in the first few rounds is really a must.

my guess is that they sign a decent veteran player such as Clemens who is decent and reliable. Not a bad pick up IMO and they resign nate allen, then they draft a safety in the first 4 rounds. So clemens, allen, wolfe, rookie.

Meh, better than any safety in our roster probably. Of course, that's saying nothing really.

Come back Dawk, please come back.

Nate Allen catches a lot of heat for 2012. But he was actually pretty good this past season and in a league where safeties are so bad we could use him. There are a lot of teams that would love to have Nate Allen.

I just don't see anything that's going to hit the market that really wows me if I were the eagles I would stand pat, and go to the draft to upgrade safety.
