    Lineup-Rotation-2014

Pitching: Sale, Quintana, Johnson, Danks, Paulino

    Lineup:
    1) Eaton
    2) Ramirez
    3) Abreu
    4) Dunn
    5) Garcia
    6) Viciedo
    7) Beckham
    8) Phegley
    9) Gillaspie

Any Chance that Viciedo plays 3B?
Prediction for the season: Great pitching - better on base% overall - same dunn - worse beckham (Trade!?!) - good draft (Alex Jackson)

Looks fine at the moment, things can change. I for one am a fan of Alex Jackson, but I think there are better options at #3. I don't even have Jackson in my top 6 of draft prospects right now. I have it like this at the moment

    1. Carlos Rodon SP NC State
    2. Jeff Hoffman SP East Carolina U.
    3. Tyler Kolek SP HS (TX)
    4. Jacob Gatewood SS HS (CA)
    5. Trea Turner SS NC State
    6. Tyler Beede SP Vanderbilt
    7. Alex Jackson C/1B/OF HS (CA)
    8. Michael Gettys OF HS (GA)
    9. Touki Touissaint SP HS (FL)
    10. Brady Aiken SP HS (CA)

High Schoolers dominate this top of the draft, but the college players could all be fast risers and be to the big league fairly quickly.

I'm not ready for Semien to be the everyday 2nd B, he hasn't shown enough. Last thing the Sox need is to trade Beckham and have Semien prove he doesn't know how to take walks (was on pace for a whomping 8 walks with over 500 AB's). If Davidson starts off in the minors, I don't see how Semien makes the open day roster. Another bad season of Beckham isn't going to hurt his value that he currently lacks anyways.

Well between AA, AAA and the majors Semien walked nine more times than Beckham, Alexei and Gillaspie did combined.

I actually think Beckham has some value right now, because his last season was better then the years before. He can play defense, which might be enough for some teams to trade for him. I would love to see someone else at 2B, I don't think Beckham is a long time solution and he already earns to much for what he is doing.

When will Micah Johnson be ready for the big leagues?

They probably want Micah in AAA for a few months.

The SOX window to contend starts in 2015 I think
    1985 Bears
    2005 White Sox
    2010 Blackhawks
    1991 Bulls

    1981 Sting

Beckham the last two months of 2013 was hitting well.

The key for him is to avoid the shaky first two months at at least bat in the .265-.275 range early.

I wanted him drafted, and it looks like we were both wrong. Haha, but I agree I think it is time to move on from Beckham as well. Especially having guys like Semien, M. Johnson and C. Sanchez almost ready to take over.

Sox announced they will have a new hat that they will wear a few times. It's a variation of one of the throwbacks.
