    Should have been Mathis.
So Anna, what do you think about the notion that Russell Wilson is better than Andrew Luck?

Luke didn't have the best but he was on the best defense and most popular team, sad.

AP Defensive Player of the Year

As norm mentioned popularity wins not necessarily the results to back it up

I think the Seahawks might have been the better defense. I also wonder what Richard Sherman's reaction to this will be.

No no, of Quinn or Mathis. Not in the NFL. He had the best defense and most popular team of those candidates.

That's pretty horrible... Kuechly would probably not even crack my top 5.

Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, and Colin Kaepernick walk into a bar... To watch Russell Wilson win the Super Bowl.

I would of given it to Quinn but who cares if Sherman plays on a great defense he still rarely gets thrown on a better negative is that he stays on one side of the field and doesn't always shadow the best.

Quinn was robbed. What a season he and Matthis had. Kuechly can go finish sucking the d**** of the AP

I love him, but I don't think he deserves it. Thomas, Quinn, Sherman, Mathis, David, Dansby, Bowman, Watt, so many great players out there, we'd be talking about this regardless of the guy who won it.
