Probable? That's good. Figured Datsyuk would still be out. Howard and Z back would be huge.
You need centerman that can play two ways and if they donít play two ways in the end, you canít win, because the guy you are counting on canít get himself on the right side of the puck enough. So sure he can score, he can score but his team loses every night, I didnít know that was the objective. I thought winning was the objective. So if you centers canít play down the middle, and canít play without the puck, you have no chance.

Also looks like Franzen won't play for Sweden in the Olympics. Sounds like Nyquist could be one of the players in line to replace him.

Wow. Well that pretty much sounds like he'll be out for a while. This ****ing season is getting really old. Every time we get somebody back either they're right back out of somebody else important goes down.

I wouldn't be against picking up an expiring veteran now to be honest.

Jimmy Howard will be in goal for Detroit Friday night at Washington.
It will mark his first game back after a knee injury sidelined him for four games. It definitely wasn’t as serious as before," Howard said. "I knew it wasn't going to be that long." Howard has struggled this season, but he was showing signs of improvement before getting injured again.
Here's hoping he picks up where he last left off before he got hurt....again.

Howard has to have like 10 different times he was out in the past 3 years.

Zetterberg is in, per Khan. Look at the bright side with all of the injuries. Remember how some people were complaining that a lot of the young players weren't get playing time. Well, guess what? They are now. It also lets the Wings view some of the youngsters in a NHL enviroment which may help later in determining who to keep and who to let go.

^^^ It also allows our big guys to be more rested up for the playoffs. I see us going on a big run if we ever get healthy.

Letting Brunner go looks good, considering that's currently Tatar's spot.

Washington is doing what they want in the Wings zone early on. Jimmy's bailed them out with a few big saves though. That needs to tighten up or we're looking at a replay of the Flyers game.

We just can't score right now.
