What would you pay to keep Evan Turner

We haven't had a fun stupid thread in a while, so I'm making one.

we all mostly assume that Turner is gone before next season, but lets just assume (for fun) that he will be resigned, and that YOU are in charge of his contract.... what do you pay him?

id say the MOST id give him would be 3 years and 20mil....

Poll: choose 2 options... 1 for years and 1 for average money per year.... remember, this is the MOST you would pay to retain his services.

    I chose 2 years $4mil per.

If things go right, we're looking at ET still here being a 6th man. Honestly, I would pay him 5.5, but you don't have that as an option.

i didn't want to put a ton of options.... i figured it would be better to just average out the responses after there was a bigger sample.

    Agreed. Keep it simple.

But I say 2 years, because if the first year is great, then he's still good trade bait. If it's not great, he's an expiring that can net us something.

And $5 mil per is a nice number that doesn't kill anything, is a steal if he plays good, but isn't overly high if he isn't that great.

0 years, $0 million. Sorry Evan, if I'm the GM I'm trading you for literally whatever I can get by the trade deadline in 3 weeks. If I can't trade you, I'm letting you walk this summer.

i agree, i went with 3 and 6.5mil.... just cause i think that he's tradable no matter what, the money is very movable in most circumstances, and he could be a valuable contributor as well (1st option off the bench?).... plus he is a 4 year veteran who's played in a few playoff series.

I think these three responses just go to show already, how polarizing ET is in Philly.

i actually think the 3 responses were pretty similar.

me and u weren't too far off, i was willing to give an extra mil and a year, really nothing backbreaking.

and the fact that there are 3 people here unwilling to make any type of significant investment in a 18-19ppg scorer is pretty telling.

Can you (or I) edit the poll so the people who wouldn't pay to keep him (like me) have an option to participate? Or is the convo more just about what his next contract should be?

i don't know how to do that, if a mod wants, he can add a last option for "Let him walk for nothing"

I took a shot, but it doesn't look like I can edit polls. No worries.

I'm down for 2 years, $6.5M. Its not a burden on the team, doesn't make him untradeable like Thad's seems to be, and is in the realm of reasonableness.

If we're not extending him, I'm definitely trading him. There's no way I just let him walk at the end of the season.

    Poll-less?

    There's definitely a poll.

I don't think you can see polls from your phone, mobile site or the app, I'm not sure. Maybe that's the problem
