    Garza to brewers 4/52

The Brewers have agreed to sign free agent starter Matt Garza to a four-year, $52MM deal, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (via Twitter).

honestly thought he'd get more money. Leave it to the Brewers to sign a random player each off season

Wow, that makes the $155 million contract for Tanaka look incredibly stupid.

We should of signed him as well 13 million a year not bad. Would of been a badass rotation.

^ The contract for Tanaka was going to be stupid regardless. Yankees wanted him and Yankees got him, so that's their deal. Funny to think the Yanks could have probably got Jiminez, Santana and Garza now for less than 175 million they payed for Tanaka.

    Kuroda
    Sabathia
    Garza
    Jiminez
    Santana

That would be dirty, but instead it's just average.

Like the deal for the Brew Crew.

Eh I wouldn't say that rotations dirty.... Ubaldo had some rough years and Ervin did to I believe. And with Yankee stadium who knows they both could of been ajs.

Seems like the right deal for him, but I don't know why the Brewers gave him this much.

    Love it.

Gallardo/Garza/Lohse/Peralta/Estrada is a very underrated rotation. Doesnt cost a draft pick and is a very tradable contract down the line as well.

I'd rather have their current rotation honestly

If the Cubs can give Edwin Jackson 4 years 52 million and the Twins give Ricky Nolasco 4 years and 49 million, then Garza for 4 years and 52 million isn't a bad deal. He is at least better than Jackson and on par with Nolasco.
