    Sacramento Kings vs Houston Rockets

Sacramento usually has Houston number , so this is a game worth talking about. Hopefully Gay returns.

It's a bummer that Gay and Cousins went down in the first quarter, because you always want to beat a team when they're at their best. That being said, I'm glad they're taking care of business so far and that it's been a blowout since the second quarter. Sacramento has owned the Rockets this season, and they needed to make a statement tonight.

29-15 now, only 3 games behind Portland and homecourt advantage.

They're a division leader though so they get HCA regardless

Being new to the NBA.... Does anyone give a rats -ss about divisions? Other than for the playoff seeding? Is there a divisional rivalry, or just a conference rivalry?

Again, being new, and too lazy to go look: do you play your division more often than you play your conference?

Yes, you play your division teams 4 times a season.

Have I mentioned how much I hate the current playoff system?

Confused. I count 4 games against the Clippers and four against the Lakers, too... so, do we play everyone in the Western conference 4 times? ...nope, only play Denver 3 times. shrug.

You play your 4 division rivals 4 times (16 games), 6 (out of the division) conference rivals 4 times (24), and the other 4 conference teams 3 times (12). And then you play 2 times against team from the other conference (30). There's isn't a logic like in the NFL, where you play one division each year and you play the other division teams that finished in the same place as you. It must be really complicated to make a 82- game schedule for 30 different teams.
