Gallinari Had Another Surgery; Done For Season

    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 39m
Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari had reconstructive ACL surgery on Tuesday will miss the entire 2013-'14 season, sources tell Yahoo.
    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 34m
Gallinari never had the ACL surgery in April, only surgery to repair his meniscus. Story soon on Yahoo.
    Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 27m
Sources: Nine months after tearing ACL, Denver's Gallinari has reconstructive knee surgery and will miss season. http://yhoo.it/1dRQTZS
    Seems a little odd.

Man that sucks. I hope he doesn't end up like Azubuike and have a botched surgery (or mishandle of an injury) end a promising young career.
The value of elite scoring ability, by Phil Jackson:

"This is a guy, we recognize his talent, and his skill is the kind of skill and talent that gets you through playoff games where things get sticky, grind-out, and basketball becomes a force game and suddenly you need to have a player who has the capabilities of scoring with someone hanging on them in a situation thatís critical. Heís one of those players, one of the few players who can do that.Ē

    9 months later?

could they have handled this any worse? lost season for denver. and they're not even terrible enough to rack a top pick.

this **** is ****ed up, first they wait months after the injury, until the summer to have the surgery, then they don't even do the acl surgery then wait half a year to realize they need to do it? looks very bad for Denv FO, in a series of questionable moves. I am starting to wonder wth they are doing, there is no reason to purposely try and and be mediocre team. the moves they have made have been really bad. i like shaw, but tim connelly and josh kroenke seem to be morons.

My thoughts exactly. Why is it so long later they decide he needs this surgery as well.

unless the knicks continue to suck the cockles. i still think McGee, Gallo + a top 10 pick can really get this team on track.

Denver medical staff seems incompetent, I was really hoping to see Gallo back.

I thought you always do surgery for torn ACL? These idiots thought it was going to magically heal on its own?

Seems like this dude is kinda injury prone. Even on the Knicks he was always banged up. I know he can't help it but damn....
