If PManning wins another Super Bowl

Is he ahead of Brady on the All time list in your opinion?

    Yes.

I do think that he won't however - the Broncos aren't going to score on 6 straight possessions vs the Hawks or 49ers.

he had his shot to be the undisputed GOAT against new orleans and blew it in my opinion, but another win puts him at the top with some still skeptics lurking

Ahead of Brady yes. Goat...no. Winning a SB with two different teams (which has never been done by a starting QB says espn) is a pretty good argument. Gives some solid validity to those that claim Peyton doesn't play IN a system...he IS the system.

Why isn't he? With all of their injuries the Colts had very little trouble with either defense. And the Broncos offense is much better than the Colts

He already surpassed Brady, another SB will solidify his position behind Montana.

Already is in my mind. He's been at the top longer. Before Brady/Manning discussions there was Favre/manning discussions. He's done it his whole career.

Absolutely. And both of them are behind Marino.

I've always thought Peyton was the best QB of this generation. Him winning (or losing, if that had happened) doesn't change it for me. I also think Marino was the best QB of his generation. Teams win championships, not just the QB's, but that's so boring isn't it?

i think today proved even more and more that we should stop referring to team success as individual success. peyton is what he is, and his TEAM's success doesn't change that. and what he is? the best QB of our era. one of the best ever. what if he throws for 400 on 80% and they lose? who cares?

the QB/team success narratives are too awful, and this is coming from a fan of the one QB who probably benefits the most from it.

the preceding post probably makes no sense because: drunk
