Which NBA Player do you stake your life on?

The NBA went under. This off-season there's a reshuffling of the talent via a fantasy draft. You have the #1 pick in this draft. Each player selected in the first round will be signed to a 10 year maximum contract. The catch is that if you don't win at least three* championships over that 10 year span, your heart will collapse instantly at the conclusion of the 2025 NBA finals.

    Who do you take?

Do you trust LeBron has three more in him after this season as the guy?

Do you think Durant is on the cusp of making the leap?

Do you put your faith in young Anthony Davis and his overwhelming potential?

Maybe you want someone else entirely?

I'm bored yea. Also this is still a better thread than the "can women like basketball one."

Durant. LBJ isn't winning three more rings on those knees with that milage and Durant buys me a few more years for my heart.
    Dirk dominating at age 35

Lebron, kd is close for me tho because he's younger and has more years left at the top then lebron IMO.. Its like 1a and 1b.. I choose lebron tho because I feel he could definitely get at least 1 or 2 and maybe 3 chips whereas I'm not as sure with kd..

    Your baby can't do this

Uhh wth. Guess I'll go Lebron...I think he has a higher chance to win 3 rings in the next 10 years than Durant or Davis.

I got no problem making the homer pick right now and going Lillard. Man has ice in his veins. Is a true leader on the court or in the locker room. He does not get intimidated. He can drive. He can hit the 3. He can make the best defensive players look like stumbling fools. He is also a good rebounder and student of the game. He wants to improve and is willing to take however much time is needed to do so.

This is kind of dumb. What are their supporting casts going to look like? It's not a 1 man game.

Lol your hypothetical doesn't change your objective at all. You have no more incentive than a normal GM in a fantasy draft scenario.

That being said I think you have to go LeBron. He's the only player right now that makes a team into an instant contender single handedly and since it's a fantasy draft there will be no super teams so having the best player for the next 3 years at least gives you a good chance.

I also don't for the life of me understand how KDs twig legs support his 7 foot frame and right now even. I bet he has some big injury at some point.

I like Durant but he has had the opportunity to win a title and hasn't that's why I go with lebron. Can't go wrong with either though..

Depends. If you're going with Cleveland Bron, then you will surely die. If you go stacked Heat Bron, you may have a chance.

I'd build around Paul George, could win now AND win later.
