    Billions.

IMO they will slow it way down after they win a WS though. The plan is to build the farm system, even though you couldn't tell at the moment

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/dodge...local-tv-deal/ It's not even fair how much more the Dodgers get a year in TV money compared to the rest of MLB. Need to scroll all the way down to see the chart.

they are making twice what the angels #2 do. And if that legislation goes through, there is a chance no one else catches up for a long time.

You got to spend money to make money. I wish I had that problem.

Right now, it seems to be a lot. But in 5 years I don't think we'll be handing out contracts like this.

Imagine having a Braves/Cardinal like farm system while having a payroll of 180 million? I would imagine THAT'S their end goal.

"Guggenheim Partners is a privately held global financial services firm with more than $190 billion* in assets under management.
We provide asset management, investment banking and capital markets services, insurance services, institutional finance and investment advisory solutions to institutions, governments and agencies, corporations, investment advisors, family offices and individuals."

No one really knows how much of the assets are liquid, and how much Cash they have on hand, but they are a private investment type of company. Who knows how much money is from the actual owners pocket, or from some retired guy in Chicago's mutual funds. There has been complaints about allowing investment dollars to be invested in a sports team, but from what I have heard no one can prove they are using other people money to fund the Dodgers.

I just am laughing thinking that some guy in Chicago (their based out of Chicago) that is a huge Cubs fan, has all his retirement funds tied up in investments that are going to fund the Dodgers world series run. Thanks Cubs fans! hahaa
