^^ I don't think that we would spend a 7th overall pick on a RT, LT yea definitely. That's just me, however if we trade back and then pick him up then yeah.

He's projected as a LT and making enough noise to jump ahead of Jake Matthews form A&M as the top prospect at OT..

But in saying that I think Demar deserves a shot at LT. It's not a sexy pick but having talented bookends in today's NFL is a must considering we have a pure pocket passer as our QB

Also KC drafted Fisher and played him at RT and if STL goes OT they'll play their rookie at RT also.. They both have LT's in place. I believe Demar Dotson has it in him to become 1 of the best young LT's in the NFL

I would leave him at LT then.

Also the Chiefs werent sure what was going to happen with Albert at the time. Yea the LT you drafted is going to change positions when you have arguably the best LT in the NFL. So perhaps they were planning for the worst and got the best.

I have faith in Demar Dotson. I believe he has the tools to become elite as a pass protecting franchise LT and IMO he deserves the shot. We solidify the right side with a blue chip prospect like Robinson and we'd bolster our offense overall. Glennon needs a clean pocket to work with knowing he's not the most athletic guy and those 2 monsters would immediately provide that

Penn's on the decline unfortunately but he's still an above average LT. He started to wear down late into the season

I agree with everything that you’re saying but I’m just not sure that a RT is worthy of a #7 pick. I highly doubt that he would sign on as a RT and would probably hold out. It’s also hard seeing us take an OL bc we have never done that but now anything could happen with the new regime. We def need depth at our OL bc we have never had that. So I would be all for drafting a guy but I think if you pick a guy in the top 10 he has to be the sure thing LT.

Most LT's start out as a RT like Fisher, Joeckel, Johnson and Fluker all from the top of last years draft are currently RT's except for Joeckel who was moved to LT before he got hurt but that was after then dealt Monroe. Think throwing a rookie right into LT is not always wise and starting them off as a RT is a good way to get there feet wet and get some confidence.... But to think that any rookie will hold out just because hes asked to play the right instead of the left isnt very realistic. FYI that was the 1, 2, 4 and 11 picks from last year.

What about guys like Matt Kalil, Trent Williams, Russell Okung, Eugene Monroe, Jake Long, and Ryan Clady. They came into the league as top draft picks at LT and started from day 1. That's my point if they arent ready to be a LT then there is not as high of a value of taking them. I couldnt agree more about taking an OL with the 7th pick, but if we do then they'll need to anchor our future QBs blindside.

If we drafted a LT and wanted to pay him RT money I could see a guy holding out. The top salary for a LT is 10.5 mil while the top RT salary was only 5.5 Mil. Now realistically would they not sign a deal?? I doubt it but I would for sure want to be LT.

Ehhhh I think Mack reaching free agency is on the unlikely side, don't get me wrong id welcome him with open arms but Cleveland is like 50 million under I don't even think there dumb enough to let him walk.

    Draft
TRADE back with either the Ravens, Jets, Dolphins, or Cardinals and get a 3rd rounder this year and an extra pick in the 2015 draft.

    Free agents
DE- Jared Allen, hopefully helps regain a pass rush in tampa. he would also help out all our young DEs
OC- Alex Mack, Mack stated Warhop is the reason he liked playing for the Browns and considering the Browns franchise is a mess he might not resign and with TJ Ward a free agent also the Browns would likely use the franchise tag on Ward allowing Mack to come to Tampa

SS- Craig Steltz, thumper at the safety position and quality special teamer

P- Michael Koenen, saves 3.25 million

they might not have a choice. TJ Ward is also a free agent and i'm not sure either Mack or Ward would want to resign with the team considering how unreliable the organization is. there for the smart thing would be to use the franchise tag on Ward that would allow Mack to walk
