Ranking the Browns Starting Quarterbacks since 1999

Saw this on Twitter and thought it would be kind of fun to see where everyone would rank the gazillion quarterbacks that the Browns have had since '99. Here are the candidates, in alphabetical order.

    Derek Anderson
    Jason Campbell
    Tim Couch
    Jake Delhomme
    Ty Detmer
    Trent Dilfer
    Ken Dorsey
    Charlie Frye
    Jeff Garcia
    Bruce Gradkowski
    Kelly Holcomb
    Brian Hoyer
    Thaddeus Lewis
    Luke McCown
    Colt McCoy
    Doug Pederson
    Brady Quinn
    Seneca Wallace
    Brandon Weeden
    Spergon Wynn

If nothing else...rank the top 10 (or...bottom ten).

Not a fun game. Overall talent Tim Couch still had the most and it was by a large margin IMO.

I agree about couch. his overall numbers are not as bad as people think. The teams he had were awful. We ruined his career lol.

The only ones on the list that started less than 3 games were Wynn, Lewis, Gradkowski, and Detmer (and Detmer was the Opening Day starter in '99).

Pederson was only there because Couch went down, but he started 8 games. Luke McCown was another injury replacement, only starting 4 games. As mentioned above, Gradkowski and Dorsey were injury replacements...Dorsey starting 3 games. For the most part, the rest of the list was "coach's decision" for switching.

    My list....

    1. Tim Couch - for what he had to work with...he deserves to have his number retired!!! Not to mention that he parlayed his Browns career into marrying a Playmate...good for him!!!
    2. Kelly Holcomb - again, considering the weapons on the team, he did more than most could have.
    3. Derek Anderson - flash in the pan...but, he had a GREAT '07 season!
    4. Brian Hoyer - only in Cleveland can we "find our quarterback" only to see him go down 3 games into his tenure.
    5. Colt McCoy - had absolute GARBAGE surrounding him on offense and was the scapegoat...could have been better with real talent surrounding him!
    6. Thad Lewis - wish they would have kept him...he would have been better than Weeden last year!
    7. Jason Campbell - gotta give him credit for still playing hard after being passed over for Hoyer...he wasn't terrible!
    8. Jeff Garcia - his wife is HOT!!!
    9. Trent Dilfer - he SUCKED!!!
    10. Charlie Frye - HE SUCKED!!!
    11. Spergon Wynn - he is ranked higher than last because I have never met anyone named Spergon
    12. Ken Dorsey - HE SUCKED!!!
    13. Bruce Gradkowski - HE SUCKED!!!
    14. Doug Pederson - HE SUCKED!!!
    15. Ty Detmer - HE SUCKED!!!
    16. Brady Quinn - He's from Notre Dame...so he drops down to near the bottom...with the fact that he SUCKED!!! He IS engaged to a gymnast...so, at least he has that going for him!
    17. Luke McCown - HE SUCKED!!!...traded the year after being drafted!!!
    18. Seneca Wallace - TURRIBLE!!!
    19. Jake Delhomme - his best years were WELL behind him when he got here
    20. Brandon Weeden - probably doesn't belong at the bottom of the list...but his underhand flip INT moves him to the bottom!!!

Sooner or later, we have to realize that crying in reference to this football team is NOT require an automatic revocation of one's Man Card. If you have been rooting for this football team for more than half of your life...you are allowed to tear up every now and then when reading news about their attempts to reach mediocrity.

But...at least 2 of them are banging former Playmates of the Year...not just Playmates, but Playmates of the Year!!!
