Well it is better than Munchak. Still not happy with it but I'll let the season play out before I really can judge.

So wait a minute? Detroit's head coach is black and our mayor is white? I'm not exactly sure where I am anymore?

I'm not happy either about Caldwell but everything I've read from others in the forum I believe he can do a great job here. His last season in Indy is mostly blamed on Bill Polian not having a back up plan if Manning ever got hurt.

Why has this team never been able to get a big name coach? Is the Ford legacy of the past going to haunt us forever?

Is it too early to start the thread for the next Lions coach for 2016?

At least his teams seemed to be disciplined. We better get one hell of an OC, though, because everything I have read makes me believe this guy is Scott Linehan when it comes to play calling.

Ever think all the so called big name coaches are already employed? And if they aren't there is a reason. The Lions could care less if you are happy with this signing or not. I think they know mare about hiring than any of us do.
Funny to see the negative responses when the ink isn't even dry on the contract. Well not really funny. More sad than anything.
Good luck Coach Caldwell. At least one of us is behind you.

"After 26 years of my loyalty I'm no longer a fan..." Shut the **** up you drama queen. Wisenkunt is overrated and chose money over the Lions.

I think all of us hope to see Caldwell prove us wrong and do great. But his resume is underwhelming to say the least so there is reason (and a lot of it) to be concerned and upset.
