Had some BBQ last night burnt ends rib tips and brisket. Wife give it 15/10 I gave it 8/10. Good partially great not out of this world
I don't LIKE Subway necessarily, but I tolerate it. I was mostly making a joke about big dicks (it was a topic of conversation in the Bears forum earlier in the day )

Anyway, more leftover ham today. I have another 2-3 meals worth of that stuff, so my culinary adventures are rather bland until spring semester starts and I HAVE to buy groceries. I rubbed some sriracha into the chunk I seared today, though...that helped make it a bit more interesting

    I don't miss being poor.

Carson, trust me, even if you turn out to be a really bad QB, BDawk4Prez will always defend you on PSD.

Just had a sammich from Which Which.

Philly cheese, onions, mushrooms, peppers, etc.

6/10. Soggy bread, no flavor. Disappointed.

Last night, i roasted a whole chicken that i had rubbed with a homemade basil-parsley-sage "pesto" and stuffed chopped onions, carrots and lemon wedges around the bird. Perfect crispy skin and the meat was moister than porn star's lubed-up twat. 9/10

For lunch today, got a falafel pita from the only place i'll eat israeli food other than my dad's kitchen. 10/10

It'll be nice having another internship (hopefully) this summer to bank some more cash. I could be eating a bit less college-y, but I had to buy some new tires for my car (buh-bye ~$800...missed a sale by a ****ing day, and they wouldn't give me the previous day's price, and they were the only place within 100 miles that had 4 tires in the size my car uses). That cut into about half of what I budgeted for food this school year. So, I could either cut my food budget or risk not having enough money saved up to make all of my car payments through next May IF I was unable to land another internship.

tl;dr - I need to ****ing graduate and get some engineering pay rolling in.

Anyway, I made a chef's salad with leftover ham (weeeeeeeeeeee...lol). 5/10. It was ok - the greens were about a day too old and starting to go limp, and I put in way too ****ing much red onion. Whatevs, doe.

Made an omelet with leftover ham, caramelized red onions, and some white american cheese. 9/10 for satisfying my hunger pang. 3/10 for culinary skill demonstration.

Just one more day of this damn ham...just one. more. day.

It's Restaurant Week where I work (Pitt campus), so I've been grubbing on $5 lunches all week.

Monday: Chicken korma from the Indian food truck (not actually part of restaurant week, but it closed after finals week and didn't reopen until this week, so I was fiending): ballin/10

Tuesday: Sausage sammich and sweet potato waffle fries at one of the campus bars: 7/10 (sandwich 6/10, fries 8.5/10)

Wednesday: Jalapeno cheddar pretzel sammich, 7/10

Hitting up the new Thai restaurant today and closing out the week with pizza from a place I've been meaning to try.

The Thai place only offered their garlic chicken dish as a Restaurant Week special. 7/10, portion was generous and spice was on point, but it wasn't anything exceptional. I did see a few of their other dishes while I was in there, though, and they looked splendiferous.

Tried an italian place called veneto. The interior was really well done, made you feel like you were somewhere different from the norm. Elegant but casual. Had a half circle bar and the kitchen was in the open inside of it. Had a woodfired pizza ovens, and the pizzas looked absolutely delicious. I might have to get one take out this weekend.

Started off with a glass of wine and an antipasto app. It was a huge portion and everything was great. For my entree i got fettuccine with mushrooms, garlic, shallots, herbs, spinach in a truffle cream sauce and topped with goat cheese. A little too thick and savory for me, but thats what i expected when i ordered a truffle cream sauce. Everything was well done and i cant wait to go back. Food was reasonably priced, between 13-17 bucks for stuff on the menu pretty much. Our entrees were big as well, i didnt come close to finishing mine and i finish damn near everything.

    9/10
