Burssssssday dinner last night at Fruition.

Free wine toast to start. Sentiment 10/10, actual wine 7.5/10.

Ordered a $20 sour that was somehow almost worth it. 9.5/10

    Tried buddy's smoked lager, 8/10.

Confit rabbit oriechette and pasta carbonara to start. Both a 9/10.

Duck breast, perhaps one of the best I've ever had. 9.5/10

    Tried buddy's bavette steak, 9/10.

    Strawberry shortcake, 9/10.

    Being 30 now meh/10

Duck and ESPECIALLY rabbit are meats that most Americans don't eat enough of

I rarely pass up the opportunity to order either when they're on the menu.

Never had rabbit but duck is delicious. Only ever had it when I was in Philly years ago.

Gator and shark are other meats that should be eaten more.

Last weekend I went to a redneck bbq and ate deer burgers.

Not going to lie it was pretty legit.

Never had deer outside of jerky. Considering where I live I actually probably did have a deer burger and didn't realize it.

Just had some of the In-Laws over for a fully home-cooked meal.

A 10 Pound Dr. Pepper Glazed Ham
4 Pounds of Red Potato Sour Cream and Chives Mashed Potatoes
1.5 Pounds of Buttery Garlic Green Beans
Peanut Butter No Bake Ice Box Cake

All dinner participants ended the meal in food coma with plenty of leftovers to go round.

I made shrimp etoufee', and I messed it up, and put WAY too much heat in it. I almost died 5 bites in, and the meal was ruined....

I ended up eating a Met-Rx shake, and going to bed.

I went out to a New Mexican place, sat outside and had three margaritas and a burrito. It was perfect margarita weather. The burrito wasn't bad either
