I think the NFL should not allow coach movements until after the Super Bowl for many reasons. (They can also push back the draft and FA schedule 1 week and take off a preseason game) if offseason is too short.
We are in America, where everyone wants a promotion and you cannot deny one and most of these coaches do deserve one. I think the candidates in the playoffs (which are quite a few) are at a huge disadvantage because teams like to hire coaches as soon as possible. Also, the NFL allowing interviews during the playoffs is kind of weird to me. I kind of understand interviewing the day after a playoff game because most teams have it off anyways, but for example, I think Greg Roman interviewed for the Vikings HC job today, which is the day before a playoff game. I think it's unfair for the 49ers and can hurt the product put on the field, which the NFL wants at it's best to increase TV ratings and money.
Should there be a rule change here?
