With that being said, is Kevin Love better than Amare Stoudemire in his prime?

Simple question, is Love better now than Stat ever was? I would love to hear from the advanced stat supporters on this one.

Not yet. Probably will be, but he has a mountain left to prove before giving him those accolades. Amare has been a winner ever since he has been in the league - pre Nash, post Nash. Some of the talent he won with is far less than the talent KLove has on his roster currently.

No. Jump shooters doesn't always translate in the playoffs. A scoring low post presence with athleticism and the ability to hit free throws at high clip translates good in the playoffs.

That pre-Nash Suns team was still better than anything Love has ever had. Marbury and Marion alone were All-Stars. Might agree with you on the Knicks. But oddly remember that roster less pre-Melo. Probably cause I just watched some of a 2004 Suns playoff game recently.

or put Love on a middle of the pack leastern team (Amare after the Suns).....they win 50 games and get HCA in the 1st round.

To answer the question, he is on a path to pass Amare easily. But I/we need to see him in the playoffs, and see if he goes KG, or Barkley.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

I thnk you guys are forgetting How good amare was. Prime amare was as much a superstar as there is.

This version of amare was pure dominance, suns were putting up 120-130 pts on a pretty normal basis while riding amare.

I can dig this. Amare was absolutely unstoppable inside in his prime. I would go as far to say he is one of the best finishers I have ever seen. Not just dunks, but his touch was amazing. Love ain't got it like that. But Love is a better shooter, passer, rebounder, and just an overall more skilled player.

    wow really?

Amare is a joke on defense. I dont care how good he was on the offense. He absolutely refuses to play any defense at all.

Even the youtube is cluttered with Amare's awful defense videos. Thats how bad he is.
