You're the GM: Chad Billingsley for Austin Romine

This was proposed in the Yankee forum.

The reasoning being that the Dodgers have an excess of pitching and a dearth of catching behind AJ Ellis.

The later is certainly true. The former is debatable.

You're the GM of the Dodgers and Cashman calls you up and makes this proposal to you. What say you?

    (PS, there's a poll)

No, Romine hasn't shown me anything yet, and Billingsley is a damn quality arm. How about Gary Sanchez for Billingsley, now we're talking. :P

BTW - I do enjoy these GM's scenarios though

Not unless they ate a lot of his contract, and we got a good prospect back to go with Romine.

Nope. We do need an upgrade at catcher and if we sign Tanaka...if Ellis don't cut it on his pitch calling, i can see the dodgers quickly try to replace him.

I'm a big fan of Billingsley, I want him to come back and see if he can pitch in the rotation again.

If and when he is ready to comeback I don't see a spot for him.

I want Bills also or he could be a good trade piece. He was touching 95-96 before the surgery and the majority of pitchers come back just with the same speed or higher in a lot of cases.

Dodgers, should never sell low with this ownership. We have all the leverage with being able to absorb/keep bad contracts.
