The Boston Bruins take a 2-game winning streak to the west coast for a 3-game road trip which will begin in Anaheim against the Western Conference leading (technically tied with the Blackhawks) Ducks. The Ducks are the only team in the NHL who have not lost in regulation at home as they support a 17-0-2 record. The Ducks, who have been one if, if not the best team in the league all year long are on a major role as they are 9-1-0 in their past 10 games and are currently riding a 3-game winning streak. There is no doubt this will be the biggest test of the season for the Bruins.
For the Bruins, they are going to have to play perfect hockey and are going to have to contain the speed of the Ducks. Play a tight neutral zone in order to limit the Ducks speed through the zone and shut down their top line. Going to have to play mistake free hockey and capitalize on any opportunity they get.
This should be an exciting game...LET'S GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sucks no Looch though. Spooner won't get much work tonight. Unless CJ uses him every once and a while with Krejci/Iggy and Paille/Campbell.
This is a situation where you have to play the young guy. This is what really irritates me about CJ...I completely understand his stance and all but see what these kids can do. You can't establish yourself if you aren't given sufficient time to do so. From what we've seen Spooner is loaded with talent and he plays extremely hard all the time. The B's are down a F....that's a time when you look to your young guys to step up and make a name for themselves. Sometimes CJ just needs to push his ego/philosophy aside.
