I have no clue how Hertl can possibly win the Calder trophy. I really see it between Kreider, Krug and Mackinnon....

I agree with the rest. I think Jon Cooper has the most realistic shot at topping Roy as the COY. Especially without Stamkos for a decent portion.

If Hertl didn't get injured he was on pace for a 35 goal season that's why I picked him for the first half, but he definitely won't win it now.

Mackinnon is playing with Statsny and Landeskog now. Not to mention he is playing his best hockey finally. He has 8 goals and 2 assists in his last 11 games.

    Predictions:

    Hart: Crosby

    Art Ross: Crosby

    Norris: Keith

    Vezina: Bishop

    Selke: Toews

    Adams: Hitchcock

    Calder: Krug

My mid-way predictions are the same as my final ones except for Calder. It would go to Hertl right now for me, but that isn't going to happen. With the Vezina, I don't see any drop off for Bishop - he is the real deal.

    Mid-season:
    Hart: Claude Giroux
    Art Ross: Sidney Crosby
    Norris: Duncan Keith
    Vezina: Tuukka Rask
    Selke: Patrice Bergeron
    Adams: Craig Berube
    Calder: Chris Kreider

    Predictions:
    Hart: Sidney Crosby
    Art Ross: Sidney Crosby
    Norris: Duncan Keith
    Vezina: Ben Bishop
    Selke: Pavel Datsyuk
    Adams: Craig Berube
    Calder: Nathan Mackinnon

    Explanations:
    - It has become unbelievably apparent how valuable Claude Giroux is to the Flyers. If he is not doing well, the Flyers struggle. When he is on top of his game the entire team follows suit, and that is evident with the push the Flyers have made since the beginning of November. After a miserable start to the season for both Giroux and the Flyers, they now find themselves completely turned around and second in the Metropolitan division. The turnaround for the team started as soon as Giroux's turnaround began, after scoring his first goal of the season back in early November against the Oilers.
    - Giroux won't win the Hart because Sidney Crosby, barring any longterm injuries, will. Even though the Penguins do just fine without Crosby, he will win because he is the best player in the world. Whatever.
    - Keith has been stellar all season long. Pietrangelo is probably the only defenseman who can challenge him right now, but the nod goes to Keith. He deserves it.
    - Once again a storyline will be a greater factor than actual play when it comes to the Vezina. Don't get me wrong, Bishop deserves a nomination, but Rask has been the best goalie this year, and probably should have won it last year over Bobrovsky. However, it will more than likely be Bishop unless Harding can somehow remain healthy for the remainder of the season, but that is looking more bleek every day.
    - Bergeron should have won the Selke in probably 4 out of the last 5 years. Toews and Datsyuk are right there, but defensively he just has that little extra something. However, it will more than likely be Datsyuk because of his offensive prowess. Also, the league has some kind of conspiracy against the Bruins. It's a miracle they were allowed to win the Winter Classic, and it was probably only because they were playing the Flyers, whom the league hates more (that was a joke, please do not take too seriously).
    - The Adams is tough. What Berube has done with the Flyers since taking over as coach has not gone unnoticed, and I think it will provide the NHL with a great story line. Hitchcock deserves it, but Berube has te better storyline. Storyline prevails.
    - Again, storylines. If Hertl wasn't out for the next 1-2 months he would win it. Mackinnon has ramped up his play of late and is healthy, making it a pretty easy selection for the voters.

I don't think Dats should be nominated for a Selke right now...

Yeah Datsyuk really hasn't had a great year defensively by his standards.
You need centerman that can play two ways and if they donít play two ways in the end, you canít win, because the guy you are counting on canít get himself on the right side of the puck enough. So sure he can score, he can score but his team loses every night, I didnít know that was the objective. I thought winning was the objective. So if you centers canít play down the middle, and canít play without the puck, you have no chance.
    - Mike Babcock
