I really do hate to say this.....

...but I hope our...out in the elements...Superbowl totally sucks. Talk about a stupid idea, there it is. Nobody cares which team can deal with Mother Nature the best, who came up with this idea needs an *** kicking, it's stupid. I hope it blows up in their face so it's never tried again. I saw the Ice Bowl, would be tacklers slipping, receivers slipping on their cuts, backs can't cut, everyone freezing......we don't need this.

    Couldn't agree more.

A team like GB who made the playoffs simply because they sucked the least out of the NFCN has a real chance at winning a game against a team who would more than likely man handle them if the conditions were different.

Yes it does so we have to ask what in the hell was the NFL thinking?

I'm old school, saw all that primitive football, we don't need to return to days gone by.

And what if it's bad weather, Philly v NE, and we see a Balt. Minny style ending?

    Bad weather =/= Bad football.

What weekend with all the nasty weather the only 'bad' game was the philly det game.

I could be totally wrong here, but I thought they did it as sort of a public relations move to new York. Maybe after superstorm Sandy?

I'm in as long as Florida and California don't get it anymore.
You're talking to me all wrong... It's the wrong tone. You do it again and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron. Hey, tell me, does your mother sew? BOOM. Get her to sew that!

It's the build a new state of the art stadium, get a super bowl pr move. AKA Incentive to rebuild rather than refurbish.

After doing a little research that doesn't appear to be the case. It seems this is a reward for building the new stadium.

Do you really think SF, a powerful running team with a monster line and awesome stable of backs, is at a disadvantage to Green Bay in cold/snowy conditions, where running is the best option most of the time? I get that it's an away game but I think SF is much better equipped for this type of game.

Anyway, on topic, I agree. It's a joke that we have a chance for another snowbowl, after all they've done throughout the years to improve the product on field. Snow games are fun during the regular season, not the biggest game of the year. I want to see the more prepared/skilled/whatever team win, not a crapshoot of flukey plays with receivers/tacklers losing their footing and stuff.

All superbowl games should be played in a dome.

Of course I do, it's a home game and they are experienced when it comes to playing in garbage weather where as SF is not. The whole playoff system needs to be re-evaluated. SF, who is a better team, had a better record, and played their butts off this year should not be at a disadvantage like that to open the playoffs. Yes, SF is the better running team, and there for shouldn't have as many issues as a team like the Saints would. Regardless, I think it's a stupid policy.

Domes are boing. Doing everything within a vacuum is boring.

Life has variables. Nothing is predetermined. There are obstacles to be over come. Deal with it.

The problem is that there are few outdoors areas in the US that don't have crappy weather in February. Florida can get rain, same as out west and the midwest, domes give an unfair advantage to teams that play in a dome normally, there's basically zero way to make it a perfect equal field. You just have to cross your fingers on the weather when its outdoors and just roll with it.

Don't all teams have indoor practice facilities? So, they all have the ability to practice inside/outside, correct? I don't buy the fact that dome teams have this uber-advantage over non-dome teams. Dome teams practice outside the same way non-dome teams practice indoors.
All I do is hit. I even hit your mother once. Yep, hit it good.
