    Westbrook's 3rd surgery in 8 months (D-Rose thread)

I don't know about you guys but seeing that Westbrook is having recurring problems because of his torn meniscus is scaring me about Rose. This last Westbrook surgery came without warning too. I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were and whether or not you guys are discouraged by seeing how much Westbrook is struggling with the injury that our boy has.

Not discouraged by any other players' injuries when it comes to Rose

Knee injuries are worrisome in any basketball player, but especially guards and wings.

Rose might be injury prone the rest of his career, he might not. I personally think he will be and we shouldn't rely on him like we did pre-acl tear

Rose injury is more on how he plays.

Two different injuries on two different knees. He could have "setbacks" on both knees for all we know.

The last time we saw a somewhat healthy Rose for a significant stretch was 4 years ago...during that EFC run. The 3 years since has been injury after injury.

Not saying he is injury prone but yea...3 years ago.

I meant more that a player who is more like Rose than anyone in the league is struggling with this injury. What really scares me is it's not like Russ was feeling sore and was in and out of the lineup and it progressed to surgery. He drops a triple double and wakes up the next day needing surgery. That's what scares me because now he's going to miss a massive chunk of this season.

I think it's safe to say he (Rose) is injury prone at this point.

Who's having the Worst Decade Ever?! Knees!

    Gallo
    Rondo
    Rose
    Westbrook
    Bynum
    Bradford
    RGIII
    Jake Long
    Gronk
    Von Miller
    Vick Ballard
    Reggie Wayne
    Shumpert
    Rubio
    Lou Williams

And that's just the big ones off the top of my head. I blame that guard from Skyrim that took an arrow to the knee.

Especially super antithetical ~6'2" PGs. I have a hard time seeing Rose or Westbrook being effective into their mid 30s. Honestly Rose may only be effective till he is 30/31. At 25 now that does not leave a lot of time for him to bring the Bulls to ring.

That's not even half of the list. There were something like 30+ ACL tears in the NFL this season as well as 30+ MCL tears.

    Westbrook's 3rd surgery in 8 months (D-Rose thread)

There are still less ACL tears in the NFL this year than in past seasons. It's been relatively amplified by the media.
