the halftime report guys are saying some spot on stuff. They are saying if the team doesn't trust the bench, then the starters take some possessions off to save energy. They say it is on the coaching staff to develop the bench more. To maybe lose more games, but play the bench more and get trust in them. Young teams try to win every game, but contending teams, look at the season like a marathon.

Stotts might be getting into that a little bit by playing Meyers, but hopefully he addresses it more.

if portland played defense all the time like they have in the 4th quarter of this game, they'd be a championship level team.

Batum had some huge defense on Durant in the 4th. He more or less shut him down on offense. Great job making it near impossible for Durant to even get the ball.

Also great job to our guys getting clutch rebounds.

Now if only we could lock in that type of defense for more of the game.

Stotts is slowly playing the bench less and less. Our team has been looking pretty tired at times the last week or 2. Stotts HAS to learn how to pepper in the bench guys while a few starters are on the court. The less our bench guys play the worst they will play. He doesn't seem to understand or care about it. I just want these guys to be playing the best ball at the end of the year. Good win tonight though.

We shoot under 40% in OKC and we win! That should shut up a few critics for a while. Lillard had a amazing game at least from the numbers over 20 points 11 assists to 2 turn overs with 6 rebounds to top it all off.

Actually recently the bench has played more not less. The difference is small but the bench has still played more last 10 games then the first 22. I can bring out the numbers to prove it if you like. Would still like to see the bench get a bit more time.
