Ottawa Senators (15-17-7) at Boston Bruins (25-10-2)

The Boston Bruins face the Ottawa Senators tonight in Boston in the first of a home-and-home matchup with the Bruins looking to win their 3rd consecutive game. The Bruins who lead second place Tampa Bay Lightning by 3 games in the division, also have a 15-point lead over the Senators who currently sit 6th in the division. The Senators have a shot to shorten that wide gap and the Bruins have a chance to bury the Senators even more.

The biggest buzz coming into this game is the Bruins call-up of goalie prospect, Niklas Svedberg from the Providence Bruins. While Svedberg will not be starting, he will be backing up Tuukka Rask, the move will prompt the Bruins to healthy scratch Chad Johnson.

With the official half way point of the season approaching, and the third full month of the regular season coming to and end, the Bruins look to continue being one of the premier teams in the Eastern Conference.

Tonight should be a great battle between long time division rivals and we'll see who's up to the challenge.

Ottawa Senators at Boston Bruins...LET'S GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well an interesting period. Tuukka Rask highly sharp and thank God. The Bruins really started off slow but as the period went on they did pick it up but unfortunately it was only in spurts. Despite that though they had two solid chances.

One promising note though...Brad Marchand...he looked great really.

I don't think Reilly is coming down from that line when Eriksson returns. I always thought it'd better to pair up the Swedes anyway.
Feeling left out in society? Are you that kid? The Bruins forum can help you.
