Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.

Now we know that after the season we won't be able to improve this roster again. I also seem to remember last spring when JJ said we would have all this extra money and cap space for this off season after the NFL sanctions on our cap space was over. The other team that got in trouble, the Redskins, have one of the biggest cap spaces this off season. This just proves we won't be better than .500 until Jerry is out.

All that it proves is that they will have to move some money around to get under the cap. But regardless of the who has the most cap space, teams that spend a lot of money in free agency rarely are successful anyway. You have to build threw the draft and by finding steals in free agency not by out spending everyone. Take a look at the Dolphins this year the Eagles last year and the Redskins most years.

This right here. You don't build by spending the most in free agency this isn't the NBA. Look at the top teams in the NFL: Carolina, SF, Seattle, Cincy, Denver, Indy, etc. They all built their team thru the draft and finding those steals in free agency. Not overspending on big names. Dallas has drafted well recently and now has some foundation with: Murray, Frederick, Smith, Lee, Carter, Claiborne, Williams, Bryant, Wilcox. I think these guys either are there or will continue to get better. They need to continue to build on this in the draft next year especially on the defensive side. Mix in a couple of free agents for the Offensive line, defensive line, etc and we will be fine. It doesn't take long to turn it around in this league these days.

Fortunately Uncle Jerry is an expert at building through the draft. We're in good shape.

ih? while our cap situation isn't a blessing in disguise or anything, they hopefully will realize that the best way to manage the cap is to hit on their draft and continue to get younger...the cap may force their hand that way, at least it should...
