Chris "CJ2K" Johnson to be released??? "I refuse to take a pay cut"

Chris Johnson said there's "no way" he'd accept a pay cut for the 2014 season, and that his 2013 struggles have been a "team effort."
"I donít feel like itís all my fault," the former 2,000-yard rusher said of entering Week 17 averaging just 3.8 yards per carry. "Itís a team effort." Johnson is right, of course, but is the rare NFL player to shift the blame to his teammates. He has done so consistently throughout his career. Going on 29, Johnson is convinced he's still a top-shelf playmaker. "I know when I get the ball and put in the right situation I can still do the same things." Johnson doesn't have a prayer of collecting his $8 million salary for 2014. NFL.com reported earlier this month that he's expected to be released.

CJ2k just said I won't take a paycut but if he's released you think he would take less money to go to a contender? I wouldn't be so sure he wouldn't go to JAX if he got paid.

Arizona will welcome him with open arms. Him and dockett are best friends. Ellington and CJ would be amazing.

No one overpays RB's anymore, especially one who's underachieved so many consecutive seasons. Contending is al he has left. I'm sure he's receive a lucrative deal but not like the one he's currently under.

I didn't say overpay......I'm simply saying he seems like a dude who would take the most money on the table no matter where it was. Just speaking in general.

I wasn't attacking you. I just can't see him going to a Jax, or oak type team

I'm not meaning to come off like that. I total admit you could be right, this is just my POV on the guy.

nope. Mjd wants to resign here but we don't want to overpay him. I'm sure if 2 teams offer similar terms he takes rival.
