Since the Lions forum has one, thought we could use it.

    More time for Gigi Datome?
Rookie forward Luigi Datome is only averaging 7.7 minutes, however in the last two games head coach Maurice Cheeks has played him for 30 minutes and he responded by scoring 22 points. Does this mean Datome is set to play more moving forward?

“(Luigi) is more than a shooter. I think we all think he is just a guy that can spread the floor and make threes," Cheeks told the Detroit Free Press. "I think he’s a little tougher than we think and he will get better with more time on the floor where he can defend guys and get used to playing NBA players."

Datome, 25, has been behind Josh Smith, Kyle Singler and Jonas Jerebko in the rotation, but he will force Cheeks' hand if he can continue to produce off the bench.

Yeah Datome should get more minutes, Jerebko should get less

Those Smith/Jennings numbers made me smile, hopefully they're figuring it out

I'm hoping Cheeks is giving Datome minutes because Monroe will soon be moved to the bench and we have to make sure Singler has a decent back-up at the 3. Singler by the way has been playing very well and deserving to get a shot at the starting SF spot. He's been averaging 1.411 PPS and 54 afg% on the season and 1.619 pps 62 afg% in the month of December including 47.4% from 3.

Bout time we use the D league.

Glad Smith & Jennings are figuring it out. They led both former teams to the playoffs.

As for Luigi he needs Jerebkos playing time until that moron gets a ****ing haircut.

Haha I picture GuySir with a hairdo like that.

Really Brandon? Is that why you jacked up three horrible triple tries in the 1st Q?

Man this team sucks :/... If the odds of Joe losing his job are below 75% I might give up.

Jennings is the least of our problems. It all starts with Dumars, if Uriji can take Toronto's team, dump their two worst contracts and still get them to be an exciting team, we need a better GM, plain and simple.

Joe D is stuck in the past. He took four cast off / problem guys and they gel'd for a few seasons and won a championship. Now he thinks that is the formula for winning.
