    Billy 'The Pinata' King.

Just out of curiousity, is there any poster that still believes Billy King is a 'genius'.

If there is someone who believes that, I would LOVE to hear the explanation for their reasoning.

I was always OK with the King hire. Though I never wanted to see Thorn leave, especially to the Sixers. While I did not like King's history, I was OK with giving him a shot. That is until the Kidd hire.

I even might have been OK with keeping PJ...if they came out and said, they just couldn't lure a big name to take over. But Kidd's hire...it was just a slap in the face of the fans. I realize it wasn't meant as such. But it rubs against the whole idea of what Prokhorov has been saying for years now. Bringing in guys like KG and Pierce and Terry...these are moves I expected. Maybe they are not the right moves for a title now, but it at least aligns with an attempt at rolling the dice. Where there is hope entering the season, not just at making the playoffs. But the ability to be able to call yourself a Nets fan...and not cry.

But by hiring Kidd, it basically told the fans here we threw together a bunch of names...and we don't give a crap about who leads them. I understand they have been kissing DWILL's *** since they got him and the Kidd hire was part of that. But as far as I am concerned, that connects Kidd's job to King's.

and you know how I feel...

    THANK YOU PROKY!!!

Of course you were okay with the Billy King hire.

Of course that means you are not a Net fan.

Your never wanting to see Thorn leave certifies you classification of not being a Net fan.

So you are basically saying signing Johan Petro and Travis Outlaw, then trading Jordan Crawford and Lance Stephenson for Damion James, then trading for Joe Johnson (realizing what Nets gave up), and Crash (for Anthony Davis), then trading Crash, Humph and the Nets future for 110 years of Celtics was all good until they hired Kidd.

Is that ACTUALLY what you are saying?

Yea Billy King is horrible. He is great at handling the media and a good talker which is how I'm sure how he got the job but it is clear he has no idea how to build a team. With all the resources he has had from young talent and lottery picks when he got the job to all the money and allure of Barclays he has failed miserably.
