This. I'd go so far as to call him an asset.

    Should have already happened.

Having said that, I would love to take him as a D coordinator.

Frankly seems like a pathetic attempt o. Ryans part to motivate his team to play for him.....sad what some people will stoop to.

He's the next Wade Phillips or Norv Turner.

    Super Coordinator, subpar coach.

What he's done this year with that offense is nothing short of amazing. He's not even a bottom 10 head coach in the NFL right now.

You may want to be careful what you say on these forums, because you may be called a hater.
20+ years from now I and others will look back @WMXXX and say remember when Brock Beat The Undertaker? More people will remember his only loss more than those 21 Straight wins.

Not saying he hasn't done anything good. Just he's one of those edge guys.

Norv and Wade had sone some amazing things as a HC, but they just weren't good enough to really push a team over the top. Thats the way I see Rex.

And it's not a slight at all. I would love to see him coaching the Black and Gold, as our DC. But some of the detail stuff is missed by him.

He can't help teach any QB so he should be gone. Honestly, there is nothing earth shattering about his defense either.
    Done - thank goodness

You know it's bad when you feel the need to tell people that you think you're a good coach.

I've been very critical of Rex Ryan, and I think a lot of the locker room drama in past years were very much based on his own failed leadership, but I really think he's toned it down, and you have to admit he can coach a defense.

Plus he just took this hunk of **** Jets team and they have a possibility of ending at .500. He's earned another year.

Would be indifferent with whatever happens. I really like Rex, but if Idzik really has someone in mind he wants then I can't complain.

Bottom line is, Rex is still a very underrated coach. Still has a winning record as a coach with Geno/Sanchez as the QBs. He can give you a great defense year after year and players love him. You can hate what he says (which I really don't understand why someone would be that sensitive to dislike a blabbering idiot), but he's still a decent coach and I'm willing to bet not many could coach the Jets to a near .500 record with the offensive talent on the field.
