So Mrazek in net and Tatar, Nyquist and Jurco are all in the top 6-top 9? Are we sure the griffins arent getting their chance to be a expansion franchise?

And I have not looked it up, but I believe Mrazek has won something like 8 in a row without giving up more then 1 goal?

Can they just call up Marchenko too and give him a chance? He is really polished and I would love to see him get a game or two in. A RH better puck moving Lashoff.

Tomas Jurco's third game in three nights. He's actually driving to Detroit today. I hope he's in the top nine. I'd love to see him kill it, and stick.

Marchenko seems lower on the depth chart in terms of call-ups for Detroit.

Yes but he is the only RH shot that is NHL ready is big and responsible defensively. Barely trails Sproul and AA in points but tops them in +/- (and its above my 10 rule at +16).

I think Jurco will be fine. Like he said himself playing in your first NHL game will get you the energy you need. I dont think he gets a point but I think he will be fine and show his skill.

Does our 11 draft have a chance to be as good or better then our 89? Top 6 forward and potential to fill all 1-4 slots on D. I had a higher hope for Tvrdon though.

Not saying your wrong. Just saying, he's behind Almquist and Ouellet by the looks of things.

Yeah he said something like that. He's playing on line 2 with Franzen and Bertuzzi. Super excited. I kind of wanted him with Nyquist. Oh well.

89 is too good. Fedorov is a top three Russian of all-time and Nick Lidstrom is the greatest Swedish player of all-time. Fedorov's 93/94 season is legendary, and there's been no player EVER as consistent as Nick Lidstrom. I truly think he's the greatest defenseman of all-time.

Update on Pulkkinen. I see he's tearing it up.

I think if we had to call someone up for injury reasons right now it would be AA or Marchenko (I need to come up with a nickname for this guy). I think XO and obviously Sproul have the higher ceiling but Marchenko has been so solid in the AHL...Im trying to convince you here Bran :P

Pulu's skating is better then advertised, is our highest +/- forward and his play making has taken strides even past the strides it took at the end of last season. Watch his goal from last night, his shot is more accurate then advertised as well. He will not be a superstar but has a very good chance of being a 2nd line RW/LW (he prefers RW) and a PP specialist.

AA2 has started lighting it up as well, remember he was our best forward in the traverse camp and earned his contract by the end of it. He also recently said he prefers playing C to LW which is interested. He becomes a bigger more skilled offensively Helm.

Backman has been a stud defensively playing huge minutes (around 20-23 a game). His offense is not to where it was last year, but a lot of defenders come over and put up higher points in the AHL/NHL then they did in the SEL.

Mantha has been....Mantha? If he puts on 15 lbs this off season he may only need 1 year in the AHL.

Think he's part of the Red Wings roster though with our top three locked in for awhile, and then these guys coming up? Almquist may get a shot up next year as a 7th defenseman or something. Honestly, what you say, I believe. Convinced. I've been on hf a bit lately, and some of the comments are just crazy about the prospects.

He was supposed o go in the top five, no? I've watched him a bit, and his shot, it's hard. Opposite of you, heard it's not accurate. Seems like a Tatar with a shot, and less hands. Short, has some speed, always going for the puck. When should he be up?

I don't know who AA2 is.. I am curious about Landon Ferraro and Mitch Callahan though. Been hearing wonderful things about Callahan.

Backman is like a top five prospect too, right? Is he going to come over? Left handed, correct? I know he's Swedish, a defenseman, anda ll of that. I don't think I've ever watched him.

WJC is huge here in Canada. I am stoked. Last year (not that I was posting on here) I missed the entire tournament as I was in Dominican Republic. So pumped to see Mantha. Could he make it that soon? What's his potential? Same question with Jurco.

No question I think he may be. Our D in 4-5 years s I see
    Kronwall-Sproul
    XO-E
    Backman-Marchenko

Thats a huge back 6 with the smallest being Kronwall who we know can use his body and all of those player play our play style. Marchenko is a big aggressive D and his point production right now is just butter on the bread.

Pulu originally was argued to be the top pick with Hall at one point (about two years prior to their draft year). Tatar with a little less speed/tenacity, better shot and RH and can run the PP from the point. Remember Pulu is 2nd in scoring and he wasnt even on the PP until about 12 games in.

I dont think AA is anything more then a #7, and I love his game.

AA2 is Andreas Atha....however you finish that name. 6'2'' super fast.

Backman may come over next year when his contract expires, but with our wealth of D prospects they might keep him stashed for one more year. You should watch he really is an all around solid D, very much in the mold of XO. I would put them almost exactly on par with each other right now.

I want to see Mantha to get bigger , but it appears right now him and Jurco have top line talent. I need to see Mantha in the AHL before I can make a real good prediction on him but Jurco will be a 1/2 line tweener for 60 pts a year imo.

Marchenko's nickname from this day forth will be M-KO. That's all I got, get over it.
You need centerman that can play two ways and if they donít play two ways in the end, you canít win, because the guy you are counting on canít get himself on the right side of the puck enough. So sure he can score, he can score but his team loses every night, I didnít know that was the objective. I thought winning was the objective. So if you centers canít play down the middle, and canít play without the puck, you have no chance.
