    Bold The 32 Franchise QB

EDIT: The thread title is little confusing. Bold all the QBs on this list you consider "franchise quarterbacks"

Put bold around every franchise starting QB (This is MY projection for the 32 starting QBs if they were all healthy tomorrow, obviously things may change before next year, I am aware. This is as IIIIIIIIIII see it now, play along, don't just complain about the list)

You get to define franchise in this scenario.

    Carson Palmer
    Matt Ryan
    Joe Flacco
    EJ Manuel
    Cam Newton
    Jay Cutler
    Andy Dalton
    Brian Hoyer
    Tony Romo
    Peyton Manning
    Matthew Stafford
    Aaron Rodgers
    Matt Schaub
    Andrew Luck
    Chad Henne
    Alex Smith
    Ryan Tannehill
    Christian Ponder
    Tom Brady
    Drew Brees
    Eli Manning
    Geno Smith
    Terrelle Pryor
    Nick Foles
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Philip Rivers
    Colin Kaepernick
    Russell Wilson
    Sam Bradford
    Mike Glennon
    Jake Locker
    RGIII

Those are the only guys I am sold on.. I love Foles and everyone knows I am a foles guy but I need to see more.... Eli and Ben I would seriously move on from... Eli is not that good to me and never was and I doubt Ben will age will with how he has been beat up... RG3 Has the tools but how good will he be when he loses that mobility or teams figure him out and can he stay healthy? Luck has massive potential but has not shown really anything but besides Rodgers he would be the next guy I would take on my team for years to come.... The rest of the guys in Bold I think are really really great.... Dalton I need to see more... Geno smith sucks Gorilla dick and shouldn't be on anyone's list ever. Cam Newton I am not sold on and never have seen the hype others do. I think he has talent but I don't think he will be anything great going forward. I think Flacco is the next Eli... He will get overrated for years because of a magical superbowl run but at the end of the time will be mediocre at best.... I think the rams need to give up on bradford because he is nothing more than someones back up. I think Kaep is overrated severely and has proved nothing... He has Mobility and a cannon for an arm but has shown next to nothing to me to franchise him

I probably undervalue cam alot and he has shown flashes of brilliance... It might just be my hate for the guy. Kaep is nothing special to me. He has a cannon for an arm and mobility. I am starting to fall off the cutler wagon with you as well.

If Rodgers was about 2 years older I would consider taking luck over him as well. Rodgers is so far ahead of everyone else in skill that everyone should start a franchise with him... His age would stop me if he was 2 or 3 years older and then I could see the argument for potential over proven greatness in taking luck over Rodgers

So many things wrong with this but let me just ask for my own personal curiosity... What in the blue hell has Geno Smith shown? I would honestly take ponder over him.. Hell I would take ponder over him if ponder lost 30 percent of his vision tomorrow.

Maybe a couple of guys here or there to add/subtract, but that's kind of where I stand.

To me, a franchise QB is someone who can step on the field and absolutely command the game in some and/or many facets.

To me a franchise QB is someone you can build around. Can make players around him look better than they are. If you needed 1 score in the fourth, you would trust him with the ball. And lastly be able to do 1 thing that D's find hard to defend. So my "franchise QB's" are:

    Carson Palmer
    Matt Ryan
    Joe Flacco
EJ Manuel (he's going to be there by the end of next season. build around guy)
    Cam Newton
    Jay Cutler
    Andy Dalton
    Brian Hoyer
    Tony Romo
    Peyton Manning
    Matthew Stafford
    Aaron Rodgers

    Matt Schaub
    Andrew Luck
    Chad Henne
    Alex Smith
    Ryan Tannehill
    Christian Ponder
    Tom Brady
    Drew Brees
    Eli Manning

    Geno Smith
    Terrelle Pryor
    Nick Foles
    Ben Roethlisberger
    Philip Rivers

    Colin Kaepernick
    Russell Wilson

    Sam Bradford
    Mike Glennon
    Jake Locker

Foles is next on this list. I want to see him in his second full year. Odd because Kaepernick's second year hasn't been great and I picked him.

I just dont see why Eli and Ben on that list... Both are on the other side of 30 and Ben has been beaten to the point he might not last much longer... Eli just isn't that good. The rest I have no issues with.

Bah, they both probably have 4 more good years in them and are very proven. It all depends on your definition of franchise.

If I think that QB gives me a LEGIT shot (if I have hte right team) to win the SB the next 4 years. That's franchise to me. He doesn't need to have a 10 year window or be Tom Brady.

That's why my list would not include RGIII though. I don't have much faith there. I'm fringe with Kaepernick but the kid's already been close. So heck, IDK.

EDIT: You know I don't love Ben or Eli. Don't make me argue for them anymore than this. Thanks in advance.

Read my definition for a Franchise QB. That's all the defending those two need.

I like that you went with Pryor. He is not much right now but if he can improve his mechanics I think he could be pretty good. I actually think he has more upside than Kaep.
