This is probably a better fit for the Rockets forum, but this is sorry to hear, regardless. People can hate on the guy all they want to, but he's done an admirable job as the Rockets coach considering all he's been through over the last year and a half. First he loses his daughter to lupus last year and now his mother. I wish he and his family the best. I hope he can recover from this and return to coaching relatively soon.

Damn, first his daughter, now his mother. I feel really bad and pray that her soul rests in peace and tranquility and her family finds the courage to get thru this.

Btw, I don't know why, but whenever people just say "RIP", I find it to be a very lazy and passive consoling remark.

He lost his daughter too mid-season and you saw how much of a wreck he was. Hope he can get through it. Take some time off and then try to endure the rest of the season.

Sad part of life but it must happen. Everyone in the NBA loses someone they know every year and they have to go through it. Having support from fans definitely helps them move on though.

I wonder how much this attributes to his terrible coaching and failures as a HC this season. I don't wanna be too disrespectful, but I'm assuming not that much.

You really can't let a chance go by without taking a shot at someone involved with the rockets.

She must have been up there in age, but it is never easy losing a loved one. Prayers go out to him.
