Correction: Mets and Colon still talking. But are discussing 2 year deal. NOT FINAL YET. Correcting previous tweet.

Why do you guys like two years? no concerns with durability for this year and next? What happens to Montero, Syndergaard, and Mejia? seems one spot is left, unless Niese/Gee trade.

They probably go into the season with Niese, Gee, Wheeler, Colon, Mejia then bring up Montero and Thor mid year and look to deal Niese and/or Gee at the deadline possibly. They presumably don't trust Mejia to be a full time SP and they really only have 3 guys right now in their starting rotation that are definites to begin next year.

I agree with signing a Colon, but why 2 years?

I like it(if it happens) because it slows the rush on our young guys... and can bring Harvey along slowly..probably needed 2 years to get him to come here....I think he will be great for our young guys too...even if he regresses some...nice to have a huge Vet Presence here
