The Panthers aren't 4-8 and the home team is always listed last (in the US). But no biggie.

    Oh, and we're 6-7.

Panthers are actually a very similar team than us. More talented than us on offense, but each team is actually built very similarly.

Sad thing is, we actually match up quite well against them. Newton doesn't scare me at all (he only has 1 more yard passing than Geno this season). Only problem is that our secondary might make Newton look really good.

I'm confident we can limit their running attack (IDK if we'll be able to limit Newton scrambling), but I don't expect Williams to have a field day on us if our front 7 plays like it has every game, but last week.

Pretty easy keys to the game:

    1) Secondary needs to play well
    2) O-Line needs to play well
    3) Geno needs to keep the ball

If we can do those 3 things well, we'll have a good chance. We need our O-Line to play like it did against Oakland. Open up holes for Ivory. We need to be able to at least run for 4.0 YPC on them. Mangold NEEDS to play like he did last week. Same as Milliner.

They're built a lot like us except Newton has two years of experience and won't force throws as often as Geno when facing a good defense. Every time they have a good game, it's followed by a stinker so my expectations are tempered. They've played so miserable on the road that I can't garner any confidence for them in spite of putting together a decent game last week. I'd be stunned if they won in Carolina.

Don't mean to come off as a jerk, but these three things are basically the key to every game for us. If Geno, the offensive line and the secondary all played well consistently we'd be in the playoffs.

I mean, I'd be shocked too. Only cool stat I came across is that we are 3-0 against the NFC South this year. It would be pretty cool to sweep them.

Agreed, they have been downright awful on the road, let's see what happens. For starters I would like to see Geno continue to progress and keep us in the game if the defense I preforming well...

I think Cam has proved himself a bit more than that.

He might not be the best classical QB in the league, but to me he is the best running QB of this generation.

We do really good against the run.. Is it fair 2 say we can contain newton as well?? If so.. Geno just can't turn the ball over

Cromartie is a gametime decision as he suffered a concussion Sunday. Stephen Hill may go on IR with his bad knee. Holmes hasn't been practicing...again.

This one's going to be tough, I've been having nightmares about Geno and that Carolina defense...

If ever we were planning on making a positive statement... This game would be the one.
