And here we go. Injuries are starting to rack up now. Zetterberg, Helm, Howard, Dekeyser, Weiss. Sadly, Weiss' injury makes the team better.
You need centerman that can play two ways and if they donít play two ways in the end, you canít win, because the guy you are counting on canít get himself on the right side of the puck enough. So sure he can score, he can score but his team loses every night, I didnít know that was the objective. I thought winning was the objective. So if you centers canít play down the middle, and canít play without the puck, you have no chance.

Darren Helm has no idea when he'll be back. Hearing 7-10.
Danny DeKeyser is not expected to return right away when off of LTIR.
    Jimmy Howard is day-to-day.

    Weiss out past Christmas.
    Howard out 2-4 weeks.
    Zetterberg skated a bit today.

Sadly two of those injuries don't hurt us right now.

Add Franzen to the list. That makes it Zetterberg, Dekeyser, Howard, Helm, Franzen, Weiss, and Abdelkaer. Jarnkrok called up? Honestly I don't think we have a choice at this point. Andersson brings nothing offensively, he just can't be the second line center.

Franzen to miss Tuesday at least. A centre expected to be called up. Jarnkrok or Sheahan.

Justin Abdelkader will miss at least a week, as the Red Wings will take him through concussion protocols.
Abdelkader was knocked woozy from a hit to the head from Pittsburgh defenseman Deryk Engellandand this past Saturday. He has 13 points and 103 hits in 34 games this season.
So that's what now 3/4ths of the entire roster?

    Top 9 on paper.

    Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Abdelkader
    Franzen-Weiss-Alfredsson
    Nyquist-Helm-Tatar

Do the math. That's 5 players out of our top 9. Dats obviously isn't where he was pre-injury and then Bertuzzi is still battling injuries.
