Of course it seems worse because we essentially got nothing for him (and gave up a draft pick). We didn't know D-Bag12 was going to leave but Bynum is still arguably a better player anyway when healthy. So it was a risky trade at the time regardless of Bynum's health issues which is looking more and more to be a big mistake now.
Bynum is a skilled 7 foot center... everybody knows that he can put up good numbers... when he plays. But one more injury to his fragile, damaged knees, and he'll probably retire... and another injury is coming sooner, rather than later.
